Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Lend Me Your Ears...

Syllogism! A word used very well during the Roman Empire...but what is a syllogism?
It is an logical argument where...
A= Red is sweet, B = Apples are red, therefore in C = Apples are sweet.
A categorical syllogism consists of three parts: the major premise, the minor premise and the conclusion.

Do you mere readers need another example?
Here I go again...

Major Premise: Grey animals are huge
Minor Premise: Elephants are grey
Conclusion: Elephants are huge

And another one...

Major Premise: All mortals die
Minor Premise: Some men are mortals
Conclusion: Some men die

Any complications in understanding what is syllogism
None?
Good...
Now I am going to present to you a few of my friends and as as my own syllogisms...

=

Ceaser was an ambitious man,
No ambitious man refuse to be king,
Caeser has trice refuse to become the King,
Thus Ceaser was not an ambitious man.

=

Ambitious man only think of himself,
Ceaser think of others,
Hence Ceaser is not an ambitious man

Ceaser liberated hosatge and brought them home,
He shares the spoil of war with his people,
Thus Ceaser was not an ambitious man.

I believe that is all I can write, my lovely readers.
I am 'dying' to hear from you again...
Soon...

What Is A Parable?

Parables are fun.
Parables are dull.
Parables are nothing.
Parables brings life.

If I would tell you the meaning of parables, I would be cheating right? But it seems I still have a small ounce of kindness within me, so here me?

Parables are a succinct story, in prose or verse, that illustrates a lesson. A type of analogy, it uses human characters to illustrate another meaning, a hidden situation, a mysterious figure in the dark.

I was given 6 characters...

Prisoners
Chains
Fire
Shadows and Images
Puppet Players
Old Man

And my task is what does my head say about this objects. What do they symbolizes?
Here are my thoughts...

1. Prisoner
A young, petite boy with brown hair and doe eyes, struggling with where he belongs, what is his true nature and identity.

2. Chains
The rules binding him to the ground by his parents, preventing him any freedom. Preventing from being who he really is.

3. Fire
Parents, perfectionists asking him to be a good boy, have good grades and smile all the time. They want a perfect son. He did not want to be perfect. He wanted to be HIM.

4. Shadows and Images
The perfect community, where everyone is happy, smiling oh so wide, spreading peace and joy everywhere.

5. The Puppet Players
The perfect family telling him what is right, what is wrong. Telling him what to do and how to do. never giving him the chance to breathe or think for himself.

6.  The Old Man
A tall dark, handsome man, with jet-black hair and piecing blue eyes, a guardian angel come to bring the young boy out of the fantasy and into reality where he could dance, sing and be who ever he wanted to be. As well as finally discovering love with his guardian angel.

Welcome TO The World of Metaphors and Simile

Metaphors and simile...sounds like a good combination for a sandwich.
Don't you think so? Excuse me, but I would like a ham metaphor with olive simile on the side...
HA! Maybe in my world...so move on!

What is a metaphor? Well, spelled M-E-T-A-P-H-O-R, a figure of speech where a word or phrase is used to describe another word.

EXAMPLE...

Life's a journey = describe the ups and downs of our lives
Time is a thief = time is slowly draining our present looks and preparing us for the future
Revenge is sweet = sweets make us happy so achieving revenge makes me HAPPY!
The moon is like an overbearing parent = Mr.Moon, stop becoming my mum and stop hovering above me!
It's raining cats and dogs! = heavy rain...not fluffy, cute big-eyed cats and dogs dropping form the sky.

Now moving on to my good friend Mrs Simile...is a comparison of two unlikely items. Using as...as a or like.
Confuse? Let me show you some EXAMPLES...

As big as a bus
As fast as a cheetah
As loud as an elephant
As cruel as a lawyer
As red as blood

Now we have explored the world or Metaphors and Simile...
EVERYONE GIVE YOURSELF A HAND!
YEAH!

And remember...life is simple. Why complicate things?

Articles of Death...What do I think of THEM?

All right...my lecturer Sir Mark, (PS: is not a knight of England) who is teaching Critical Literacy gave ME an assignment about four articles to review and it was TORTURE

My imagination of torture...

I mean it was not difficult to understand the article. I knew what each article wanted from me...
but COME ON!
Four at once?! Maybe I am overdoing it like a banshee cause during the duration of the assignment I was busy with work from both class and being a facilitator for the juniors. But it gave me a difficult time...and I wasn't the only one.

The article consist of four experts form books of all kinds of topic and all each article had one thing in common. It will drive a person where they stand in the article.

Should I be a liar to succeed? Should I stop thinking and let go? Do I deserve to be less happy than the high class people? Why should I pity the Jews when they have no pity for us Muslims?!

These were the questions I asked myself when I started reading the assignment. And they were times I wanted to cry when I could not choose a side. We all can't be Mr or Mrs Switzerland, right?
I understood what Sir Mark was trying to tell us.

Switzerland known as the neutral zone.

There are times where we have to put our foot down and choose. It might conflict with others and you would be screaming and shouting to defend your position. But it matures us. It determines who we are in the future. We are still ugly ducklings. Not yet beautiful, pure swans.

But...our time we'll come. Insyallah.

Imagine a ugly, duckling grew could grow into the elegant swan...

Jack The Ripper, London's Most Wanted Criminal

Just imagine this version of Jack The Ripper terrorizing the streets of London.
I would die of major cuteness before he can have the first strike.

Jack The Ripper...a name notorious on the streets of Whitechapel street, creating fear in the hearts Londoners and lurking in the shadows looking for his next victim.
The Ripper first made his grand entry in early1888 by presenting his adoring audience with four beautiful women or rather dirty prostitutes, mutilating their bodies  and painting the walls around them with blood and made his last curtain call in 1891 with his last masterpiece, the lovely Mary Kelly with all her essences smeared on the bedding and making the strongest of man sick to their stomach at the sight her whats left of her pathetic little body.

But the question many have asked...who is Jack The Ripper?

Sir Mark gave us an assignment where we had to look through the list of suspects on who dear old Jack was and my suspicions go to Mister James Kelly...

The face I believe is Jack The Ripper. Now evil has a face...and it is not a sight I want to see before my sleep.

Why would I choose this man as the one responsible in killing the four hookers and creating chaos on peaceful Whitechapel street? I have my reasons. Want to listen?

Wait...A...Minute....this is a written blog. So you lot have to just read if you want to know.
Good luck!

According to the research I have done, this is what I have found:

1. James Kelly killed his wife, which could led to his lust to kill again
2. James Kelly was skilled in handling a knife, the same weapon used to kill the four hookers.
3. James Kelly had the opportunity to kill and his whereabouts was unknown after the killings.
4. James Kelly was mentally unstable, preventing him to see was real and what was a mere illusion.

But that is my side of the investigation. What's yours dear readers?
Let me know your side if the story...if you dare.

Why Did I Watch This? Was I Mad For A Second?

No. It was all for the sake of the course...Critical Literacy. It was good...until I watched...THIS!

THE HORROR! THE PAIN! MY EYES! MY EYES! IT BURNS! I CAN NEVER CLOSE MY EYES EVER AGAIN! I CAN NEVER STOP LAUGHING AT THE CHEAP SPACESHIPS. I CAN NEVER SLEEP LIKE A BABY AGAIN! I CAN NEVER STOP SALUTING LIKE THE ALIENS DID IN THE MOVIE! I CAN...I CAN...I CAN...

I can...be a dramatic queen sometimes. Just kidding my loyal subjects. Let me tell you my story...

Mr Mark aka Sir Kamaraziz, gave us a movie to be watched and ask us how was it after watching such masterpiece. It was a masterpiece...I laughed into tiny bits of pieces!

Plan 9 was about alien bringing the dead alive, trying to enslave mankind, mankind fought back and the living dead became piles of bone at the END. NOW...what was my reaction towards such art?

THINKING IS HAPPENING AT THE MOMENT.
PLEASE REMAIN CALM AND....

IT

THE

MOST

HAPPY?

I was like...WHAT?

My eyes were almost a second away from being poked by the plastic fork in my hand but I told myself...how am I suppose to see than? I love my eyes...eyes are important in the circle of life.

If movie during those time were bad, THANK GOD I WAS BORN IN TIMES OF THIS...

By the way, watch this movie. It will blow your mind IN A GOOD WAY!

Back to the topic on hand, Plan 9 From Outer Space was a good try but AT LAST...I would soon drag it to the Recycle Bin if I found THAT in my precious laptop.

My rating: An A for effort...a LARGE F for failing to capture my bloody eyes! Goodbye...

And remember, life is simple. Why complicate it?

What Does Our Brain Have To Say?

What are superstitions?

Why am I asking you lot? Of course I know what it means! I am just messing with you. But since I am feeling GENEROUS today, I am HONORED to tell you. So pay attention.

I AM NOT REPEATING MYSELF.

Superstitions are ridiculous beliefs from all societies around the world who had believed in them for many generations. Their grandfather taught them, and his grandfather taught him and the cycle goes on and on and on and on and…on.

So, what does the picture of the brain has to do with this? Well, the brain is going to you all what it has to say about the superstitions.
From the left side and right side…ACTION!

IF THE BOTTOM OF YOUR RIGHT FEET ITCHES, YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE A TRIP.

My right brain says, the feet does not have the power to tell a person what is going to happen in the near future. Feet don't do that and no parts of the body will.
My left on the other hand, says the feet are meant for walking, jumping and even dancing. It might have the unseen power to predict the owner of that particular itchy feet, he/she will be travelling soon. Good omen!

IT BRINGS BAD LUCK FOR A FLAG TO TOUCH THE GROUND

Mr Right Brain Says: The flag is an inanimate object. It does not have the power to bring any sort of luck to anyone.
Mr Left Brain Says: The flag is the symbol of freedom on a country. It represent what the people are willing to fight to protect their country from invaders. Letting it touch the ground is like letting the enemy win and laugh at our carelessness to what we believe in.

This is the end for me. Until next time my little ones.

Remember, life is simple. Why complicate it?
